The Content Creator’s Weekly Workflow

From Idea to Post

Hey there and happy Saturday!

Today I have a little behind-the-scenes type post to give
you a grasp on what consistent content
creation looks like.

Consistency is the name of the game when it comes to content creation.
But let’s be honest—showing up regularly without burning out takes a bit of structure.

That’s where a repeatable weekly workflow can make all the difference.

Whether you're building a personal brand or managing multiple client accounts,
Having a system helps you stay creative and consistent.

Here’s a simple weekly workflow I use (and recommend) to move from idea to post without the overwhelm:

1. Ideation (Monday)

Start the week by capturing fresh ideas.

  • What questions are people asking you lately?

  • What trends are popping up in your space?

  • What’s something you’ve recently learned or tested?

💡 Pro tip:

Keep a running list of content ideas in your notes app or Notion board.
That way, Monday becomes more about curating than creating from scratch.

2. Batching & Outlining (Tuesday)

Once you’ve got a list, it’s time to batch. Choose 3–5 ideas to focus on for the week.

  • Jot down a rough outline or talking points for each one.

  • Decide what type of post each idea suits best (carousel, single image, video, etc.)

Batching helps you stay in the zone and reduces decision fatigue later in the week.

3. Designing or Scripting (Wednesday)

Now bring your ideas to life visually or through video.

  • If it’s a visual post: create your graphics or carousels.

  • If it’s video: write out a loose script or bullet points.

Don’t aim for perfection—aim for clarity and connection.

4. Writing Captions (Thursday)

With the visuals or concepts ready, now’s the time to write captions.
Keep it simple:

  • Hook

  • Value

  • Call-to-action

Write in your voice.
Read it out loud.

If it feels like something you’d say to a friend or peer, you're on the right track.

5. Scheduling & Posting (Friday)

Wrap the week by scheduling your posts or uploading drafts.

Tools like Buffer, Metricool, or native schedulers can help here.

⭐ Bonus: If you like to post in real-time, use this day for reviewing and final touches.

The Goal: Create, Don’t Chase

This workflow isn’t about doing more
It’s about doing it smarter.

By giving each part of the process its own space,
you stay ahead of the game without
scrambling at the last
minute.

Try it for a few weeks, tweak it to fit your style, and let your content work with your schedule—not against it.

What part of your content workflow do you find the most challenging or the most fun?

Well, that's a wrap,

Until next week!

Thanks again for spending part of your weekend with me!
